Internship & Externship

PEA Internship & Externship Opportunities

The Intern and Extern Programs offer a wide variety of exposure to different caseloads that include surgery, sports medicine, internal & pediatric medicine, as well as ambulatory cases that will help further expertise in the areas of equine veterinary medicine that students wish to pursue in their careers. Externs are offered on-site housing and one-on-one training with our veterinarians, which are important components of the training program. With our collaborative team, you will receive tailored guidance in preventive and emergency care medicine, sports medicine with onsite horse show experience within multiple disciplines, lameness evaluation, and field surgery.
